It was released in theaters, November 5th, 2010 and was Produced by Cloud Eight Films, Film4, and Everest Entertainment. The movie was approximately 94 Minutes long.(Little over an Hour and a half)

The director, Danny Boyle did an extremely good job Directing this. I especially liked how it felt like I was right there with him through the whole ordeal. The main Character of this film was Aron Ralston, portrayed by Award-Winning James Franco. James did a very good job playing Aron, . Aron Ralston is an experienced Mountain Biker and Mountain Climber.

The story takes place in Blue John Canyon and in his Memory. The story starts off with Aron driving to the Canyon. When he gets there he gets his Bike out of the back of his Truck and takes off. The next few scenes show him riding his bike, when suddenly, he falls hard. He then takes a picture for his Blog. The next scene shows him locking up his bike to a tree. The next day he meets two hikers, Kristi, Played by Kate Mara, and Megan, played by Amber Tamblyn. After a day of Hiking, the two girls and Aron split up. Aron goes on a hike through a crevice between a Canyon. He starts to climb down and jumps onto a Loose Boulder. That is where all of Aron’s troubles begin.

The moral of this film was never give up, because after all that happened to him, Aron never gave up. My opinion of this film was that it was attention grabbing, touching, inspiring, and overall it was Great! I thought it was attention grabbing because he had many Visions throughout the whole film, it made you want to watch more and more. I thought it was touching and inspiring because of the ending, which you’ll have to see to know what I mean.

Reviewed by Cody Christianson.
