(English translation is further down on the page.)I Rymden Finns Inga K\u00e4nslor<\/a> inleds med tankarna i huvudet p\u00e5 asperger sjuka Simon. Simon \u00e4lskar rymden och ekvationer. Han vill att allting ska g\u00e5 att r\u00e4kna ut eftersom han inte kan f\u00f6rst\u00e5 det k\u00e4nslom\u00e4ssiga och och distr\u00e4a beteendet som sker bland vanliga m\u00e4nniskor. \u00a0Jag tycker att filmen demonstrerar \u00e4kta k\u00e4rlek, som man inte m\u00e5ste vara sjuk f\u00f6r att inte f\u00f6rst\u00e5 sig p\u00e5. Sk\u00e5despelet \u00e4r till st\u00f6rsta del bra men framf\u00f6rallt ifr\u00e5n Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd, som \u00e4r Stellan Skarsk\u00e5rds (Sveriges stolthet) son. Han \u00e4r lite obekv\u00e4m att titta p\u00e5 och pinsam till en vis grad men det \u00e4r ju en perfekt framst\u00e4llning av sin roll.<\/p>\n

Jag s\u00e5g I Rymden Finns Inga K\u00e4nslor p\u00e5 Santa Barbara International Film Festival och jag tycker att det var j\u00e4tteroligt att den kommit in i festivalen tillsammans med en annan svensk film. Man bli onekligen stolt \u00f6ver att vara svensk n\u00e4r man ser det talangfull kamera arbetet och en v\u00e4lskriven historia. V\u00e4ldigt stillig debut utav Andreas \u00d6hman som tidigare \u00e4gnat sig \u00e5t TV och kortfilmer. Bill har sk\u00e5despelet i blodet och jag f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntade mig egentligen inget annat \u00e4n perfektion ifr\u00e5n hans sida. Martin Wallstr\u00f6m som spelade Simons storebror Sam gjorde \u00e4ven han en lysande prestation.<\/p>\n

Filmen handlar om asperger sjuka Simon (Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd) som inte klarar av att bo hos sina f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrar. Han har ett eget byggt rymdskepp som han st\u00e4nger in sig i i flera timmar i rad. Den enda personen han litar tillr\u00e4ckligt p\u00e5 f\u00f6r att komma ut \u00e4r sin \u00e4ldre bror Sam (Martin Wallstr\u00f6m). Sam best\u00e4mmer sig f\u00f6r att Simon ska f\u00e5 flytta in tillsammans med honom och hans flickv\u00e4n, Frida . Allting g\u00e5r bra till en b\u00f6rjan men Frida blir mer och mer irriterad p\u00e5 hur socialt handikappad Simon \u00e4r, hur han g\u00e5r in p\u00e5 toaletten n\u00e4r hon st\u00e5r i duschen, in i Frida och Sams sovrum med d\u00e5lig tajming och hur han hela tiden m\u00e5ste ha allting exakt som planerat. Frida l\u00e4mnar Sam som \u00e4r helt f\u00f6rst\u00f6rd efter uppbrottet. Simon vill \u00e5terst\u00e4lla ordningen och ger sig ut f\u00f6r att hitta den perfekta flickv\u00e4nnen till sin bror. Saker och ting g\u00e5r inte riktigt som Simon t\u00e4nkt sig men en l\u00e4xa blir l\u00e4rd ifr\u00e5n de b\u00e5da br\u00f6dernas sida.<\/p>\n

Jag var speciellt f\u00f6rtjust i manuset till den h\u00e4r filmen. Smarta lines s\u00e5 som “Tid \u00e4r inte pengar. Tid \u00e4r tid och pengar \u00e4r pengar” och “K\u00e4rlek tar tid, precis som s\u00e5s.” Jag tycker att det var ett v\u00e4ldigt fint manus och \u00e4r nyfiken p\u00e5 hur Andreas \u00d6hman kom p\u00e5 id\u00e9en. Jag tyckte \u00e4ven att musik var v\u00e4lvald \u00e4ven om volymen verkade leva sitt egna liv d\u00e5 den gick upp och ner under stora delar av filmen.\u00a0I Rymden Finns Inga K\u00e4nslor \u00e4r en v\u00e4lgjord och fin film som borde g\u00f6ra alla svenskar stolts, den borde ha blivit Oscar nominerad och den f\u00e5r \u00e5tminstone mig att l\u00e4ngta efter svensk sommar.<\/p>\n

Simple Simon is introduced with the thoughts of Asperger diseased Simon. Simon lets us know that he is obsessed with space and equations. He wants to be able to work everything out like an equation because he can\u2019t understand the emotional and indecisive behavior that normal people are going through. And in space, there are no emotions or confusing feeling he can\u2019t understand. I think this film demonstrates true love, which you do not have to be odd to not understand. Acting is good, especially from Bill Skarsgard, who is Stellan Skarsgard\u2019s son. Stellan is Sweden\u2019s pride when it comes to acting so there is no surprise in his son\u2019s ability to do the same. Bill is awkward and somewhat embarrassing to watch, which is great portraying of his role.<\/p>\n

I saw Simple Simon at The Santa Barbara International Film Festival and I was happy to see that it was shown there along with another Swedish movie. It his hard not to be proud of my Swedish origin when I see the skillful camera work and the well written story that represents Simple Simon. It is a splendid debut from Andreas Ohman, who has been working with television earlier. As I mentioned Bill has acting in his blood so I did not except anything less from him, but Martin Wallstrom who played Simon\u2019s older brother Sam, did a magnificent performance.<\/p>\n

The film is about asperger deseased Simon (Bill Skarsgard) who is struggling while living with his parents. He has his home made space ship that he locks himself into for hours to get away from his annoying parents. The only person that he trust enough to come out of the ship, is his older brother Sam (Martin Wallstrom). Sam decides that it is for the best if Simon moves in with him and his girlfriend Frida. Everything works out to start with but Frida is getting more and more irritated with the fact that everything has to go Simon\u2019s way, everything has to be according to Simon\u2019s clock. He walks into the bathroom while she is in the shower because it is \u201chis turn\u201d, he walks into the couple\u2019s bedroom at inappropriate timing and so on. Frida breaks up with Sam because she can\u2019t take it anymore. \u201cYou are married to your brother\u201d she claims. Sam is devastated and Simon wants to restore the order of the household so he decides to go out and find the perfect girlfriend for Sam. Things do not work out as planed but the both brothers learn more about each other and themselves than they knew before.<\/p>\n

I especially liked the script for the movie. Quick and smart lines like \u201cTime is not money. Time is time and money is money!\u201d and \u201cLove needs time, just like sauce.\u201d I\u2019m curious how Andreas Ohman came up with the idea for the script. Is it based on something he actually experienced? The music choice was great even though the volume seemed to have its own life at times. It was going up and down through out big part of the film. \u00a0Simple Simon is a well done and great film that I very much recommend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
