\"\"\u00a0 Think again, if you surmise The Padawan Menace<\/a><\/em> to be another evil force in the Empire.\u00a0 Instead, he’s a young orphan, who’s a stowaway on board a Jedi Temple school bus, err\u00a0ship, engaged on a field trip to the Jedi Academy.<\/p>\n

“Ian” moves effortlessly amongst the\u00a0group of young\u00a0Padawans, cracking wise\u00a0at master Yoyo, err Yoda, and effectively\u00a0imbues Jedi mind tricks on the likes of C-3PO.<\/p>\n

There’s a meeting\u00a0of the Senate Council, that\u00a0puts R2D2 asleep when the speaker\u00a0(literally)\u00a0announces\u00a0“blah, blah-blah, blah-blah,” and 3PO gets air sickness, using R2 as a trash can.<\/p>\n

Cartoon Network aired this ridiculously funny special on Friday,\u00a0July 22nd, and\u00a0hmm, I\u00a0wonder if the timing had anything to do with Comic-Con 2011?<\/p>\n

You’d have to be a confirmed Star Wars nerd (as I am), in order to fully\u00a0appreciate the on-going parody for the full 22 minute segment.\u00a0 And it seems as though Lucas has\u00a0regained his sense of humor – much lost in the prequel, with the likes of\u00a0mr. jackass, Jar Jar Binks – when we\u00a0witness a brick character of George, actually threaten a super-obnoxious Darth Vader.<\/p>\n

Okay, so what if it is a gross display of franchising ?\u00a0 I say get rid of the dumb Clone Wars and bring on more Lego Star Wars parodies!\u00a0 Cheers to Lego Group, Lucasfilm, and the clever writing of Michael Price.<\/p>\n

BTW – The Padawan Menace<\/em> will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on September 16th, and will include a surprise brick character.<\/p>\n
