Be sure to check out the video of SBCC Glee performing \u201cRumor Has Is\u201d below.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the decade a resurgence of movie musicals started, hitting it\u2019s stride with the 6-time Oscar-winning <em>Chicago<\/em>. Based on Bob Fosse\u2019s iconic Broadway musical and taken from a mix of fact and fiction, including a 1942 film starring Ginger Rogers, <em>Chicago<\/em> is a story of sex, murder and jazz in the 1920\u2019s era metropolis.<\/p>\n<p>Starring Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere, <em>Chicago<\/em> tells the stories of two worlds. The first world is the real world, where Roxie Hart has just been arrested for murdering her lover. The second world is a night club in Roxie\u2019s mind, where she and those around her are presented in a fantastical stage show. Using exquisite cinematography, lighting and mise-en-scene <em>Chicago<\/em> brings all the qualities of great cabaret show to the screen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px; float: right\" src=\" http:\/\/sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net\/hphotos-snc7\/575961_356268537767281_116534425074028_1028442_1573327027_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"326\" height=\"244\" \/> Featuring classic show tunes like \u201cRazzle Dazzle\u201d, \u201cAll That Jazz\u201d and \u201cThe Cell-Block Tango\u201d, <em>Chicago<\/em> is two hours of modern musical mixed with classical stage design. At this particular screening SBCC Film Reviews was pleased to welcome The SBCC Glee Club.
