Traveling in a full hungry boat
\nOn a rough sea, no cows no goats
\nI met a Irish lad from the same city
\nHe took me in and gave me pitty
\nAnd he said,<\/p>\n
“Do you come from a pond down under?
\nWhere men build towers that never plunder?
\nCan’t you hear, can’t you hear them thunder?
\nLook closely you might see awe and wonder.<\/p>\n
Eatting bread next to a man from\u00a0Shanaglish
\nHe was five-foot-four and smelt like fish
\nUp on the beam, lunch was such a dream.
\nLunch atop a Skyscraper,<\/p>\n
who knew it would be in every newspaper?<\/p>\n
And he said,<\/p>\n
“I come from a pond down under
\nWhere beer does flow and men chunder
\ntwo men were eventually identified,<\/p>\n
therein lies our Irish pride.<\/p>\n
This photo is a mystery but not enough to stay
\nfor 80 minutes is too long makes for this play.
\nHomage to New York a century ago
\na thank you and pride this is what we have to show
\nAnd he said,<\/p>\n
“Do you come from a pond down under?
\nWhere iron workers climb 80 floors and never plunder.<\/p>\n
These men risked their lives to make a skyline<\/p>\n
At the turn of the century making ten dollars, which was divine.
\nLiving life in the sky,
\nthis film makes you wonder why?
\nCheesy lines like “nothing to fear but fear itself”
\nHalf the audience left before hanging oneself.<\/p>\n
No real answer to who these men were
\nNo documentation, therefore we can never be sure.
\nQuite a story, maybe more for TV.
\nNot my favorite documentary.<\/p>\n
