David O’ Russell is a director who seems to love to talk,<\/p>\n
When director of the film festival Roger Durling tries to interview him,\u00a0Russell just keep rambling on.<\/p>\n
He has directed 11 movies, produced 8 films and written 8 scripts,<\/p>\n
And now American Hustle is nominated for 10 Oscars.<\/p>\n
Russell didn’t go to film school, he taught himself to direct.<\/p>\n
And now he has become one of the most essential voices in the industry.<\/p>\n
Sees Jennifer Lawrence as a gift to his films,<\/p>\n
And I forgot to mention that American Hustle has 45 wins.<\/p>\n
David O’ Russell says he’s a late bloomer when it comes to directing a film,<\/p>\n
He directed a dark comedy in 1994,<\/p>\n
And Spanking the Monkey was the name.<\/p>\n
Handheld cameras and Steadicams,<\/p>\n
Are some of the techniques he uses.<\/p>\n
Durling has interviewed David before,<\/p>\n
So there’s no awkward moments there,<\/p>\n
However David seems to be taking over the conversation,<\/p>\n
And Roger just sits and stares.<\/span><\/p>\n Started from the bottom and worked his way to the top,<\/span><\/p>\n He started as a waiter and served celebrities,<\/p>\n Now he’s made huge and great films like Silver Linings Playbook.<\/p>\n He imitates Robert De Niro and fools around throughout the interview,<\/p>\n And the crowd keep on laughing.<\/p>\n This interview is anything but boring,<\/p>\n In fact he made me laugh and smile the whole time.<\/p>\n David O’ Russell is a special man,<\/p>\n With great talent.<\/p>\n He really knows how to make a great film,<\/p>\n And works with amazing talents.<\/p>\n That’s why he deserved to win the\u00a0Outstanding Director Award at the SBIFF 2014.<\/p>\n This interview was my favorite from the SBIFF,<\/p>\n And I will remember this for a long time.<\/p>\n David O’ Russell is an inspiring person,<\/p>\n He talked about very important things to know,<\/p>\n If you want to try to climb up and succeed in the industry.<\/p>\n I will take this with me,<\/p>\n Whatever path I decide to take,<\/p>\n To try to succeed with my dreams.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Reviewed by Angela Yago.
