I came in that morning<\/span><\/p>\n

Excited and cheerful<\/span><\/p>\n

But when I walked out<\/span><\/p>\n

I was rather quite fearful<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You see what transpired<\/span><\/p>\n

During that Screenwriter\u2019s panel<\/span><\/p>\n

Assured me in ways<\/span><\/p>\n

My grades surely can\u2019t handle<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oh good god why!? Why did they say?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf the deadlines in a few weeks, I\u2019ll do it in a day!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Each writer making me laugh with their smart ass comments<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t need enabling, I need to be despondent!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You see, a rich procrastinator I am<\/span><\/p>\n

The internet my butter, Netflix my jam<\/span><\/p>\n

But my toast is not toasted until moments before<\/span><\/p>\n

I need to get my essays printed and my ass out the door!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My aspirations to be a writer<\/span><\/p>\n

Are often spoke<\/span><\/p>\n

But set my own deadlines?<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s a hell of a joke.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So when Kaufman did speak of putting off every piece<\/span><\/p>\n

Of making his genius seem stupid and cheap<\/span><\/p>\n

I did start to panic, I do much the same!<\/span><\/p>\n

But I\u2019m not writing the scripts that put other scripts to shame!<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s astounding to me, my vision is blurry<\/span><\/p>\n

He wrote Anomalisa in a terrified flury!?<\/span><\/p>\n

But the story was so perfect, the characters so real!<\/span><\/p>\n

How do even great writers possess this Achilles Heel? <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So then I went home and stared at a blank page<\/span><\/p>\n

My mind quite confused and filling with rage<\/span><\/p>\n

But then a great idea suddenly came to mind<\/span><\/p>\n
