I hear everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your laughter. Your arguing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I hear your urgency. Your pride.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I hear their cries.\u00a0 Your happiness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I hear your dissociation. Your dreams.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your indifference. The machines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your silence.<\/span><\/p>\n

I taste everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mud that comes off your shoes. The tears.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The things you wash off your body. I taste what you wash down the drain. <\/span><\/p>\n

The ash. <\/span>The sweat. The infidelity. The creek you swim in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a house. My mouth is nailed shut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I have to be quiet. It’s up to you.<\/span><\/p>\n
