Hunger (Steve McQueen, 2008): UK

My first impression from the movie Hunger was really bad. I have never seen such a bad movie before! Hunger is a movie to watch and not to listen. Everything in this movie is detailed, boring and absolutely not interesting. I was the whole time waiting until something would happen, but it didn’t.
This is a movie for boys and certainly not for girls.

I saw Hunger at the AFI festival. The movie is directed by Steve McQueen. Michael Fassbender, Liam Cunningham, Stuart Graham and Liam McMahon are part of the cast of Hunger. I haven’t seen these people in other films, but there performances in Hunger were good.

Hunger is about an odyssey, in which the smallest gestures become epic and when the body is the last resource for protest. What is most important in this movie, is the acting. As I said before, the performance from all the people were good. In Hunger are a lot of long, not interesting scenes. Use of the camera is steady.

I can not understand why people would see this movie, because it is so not interesting. The only positive thing I can say about this movie, is that the performance were good.
