Montecito Award (Geoffrey Rush, 2011): USA

Eight points/bad jokes on the Geoffrey Rush tribute using titles of his films.

1. Geoffrey Rush definitely “Shine”d at his tribute on February 1st.
2. He seemed so down to earth even on the red carpet when everyone was “Starstruck”.
3. Even though I had never heard of him before this week, he became no “Mystery Men”.
4. It was hard to listen to the “Intolerable Cruelty” of the moderator’s bringing up uncomfortable topic’s such as Rush’s emotional breakdown.
5. Geoffrey easily brushed it off, I guess that’s just the “Warrior’s Way”.
6. He discussed his journey from theater acting to the world of Hollywood, seemed like he was “Swimming Upstream”.
7. When he talked about stage acting he actually lit up as he showed “A Little Bit of Soul”.
8. When Colin Firth showed up to grant him his award he accepted it with a “King’s Speech”.
