Extraterrestre (Nacho Vigalondo, 2011): Spain

Extrreterrestre which I had no expectations on ended up being one of my favorite movies for my days at the AFI Fest in Hollywood. This is Nacho Vigalondo’s second screening at the AFI Fest, the first one was Time Crimes which was a popular movie at the festival last year. And by Vigalondo’s own words if you liked “Time Crimes” you might like “Extraterrestrial” expect that “Extraterrestrial” is filled with bullshit and meaningless stuff compared to the important scenes and actions in “Time Crimes”.

Julia wakes up in her flat with a guy in her bed she can’t remember the name off, actually she can’t even remember where she meet him. Michelle Jenner plays Julia in this Romantic comedy and does a amazing job doing so. The “guy” is Julio which apperently can’t remember what he is doing there, except that the whole town is empty and there is a giant UFO hanging over the city.
