My Awkward Sexual Adventure (Sean Garrity, 2012) Canada

Jordan isn’t having a very good week. First thing that happens in the film is that his girlfriend falls asleep while they’re having sex, then when she wakes up she dumps him for being boring and inadequate in the bedroom. So he goes to canada to visit a friend, and his friend turns out to have all the “good” answers. He wants Jordan to meet new girls to get over his girlfriend. They are trying to have some parties and go to clubs and stuff but Jordan only complains that he misses his girlfriend. When he finally stumbles into a strip club, he gets so drunk that he gets tossed out into the snow of a security guard, and when the stripper Julia finds him on her way home she takes him back to her place to sober up. When Jordan wakes up and talks to Julia it looks like they can use each others help, Julia needs financial assistance and Jordan needs to learn to be a better lover. Together they journey towards these goals, even though they meet some trouble along the way.

Julia and Jordan basically starting to live with each other and even though it was not ment to be, they starting to like each other. At the time when everything starting to look perfect,  Jordans old girlfriend calls him and asks if he sees other women. When she finds out that he does she takes the first plane down there and meets him, and that makes Jordan crazy and he dont know what to do, and it gets very awkward sometimes.

For a movie about sex, there isn’t very much sex in it. That’s probably because it’s about love, self esteem and the effect long term relationships can have on us. This movie is really funny, thanks in large part to the writing and acting skills of Jonas Chernick. Although there are some funny moment its also awkward at the same time, when you feel that he has to be a man and stand up for himself.

I recommend this for you guys that likes a good comedy.
