   I too saw “Diary of the Dead” since I am huge horror/zombie movie buff. When I heard that George Romero’s movie “Diary of the Dead’ was coming out, and then shortly after saw the preview, I was more than excited. It’s not often that great horror movies come out (in my opinion), but I had hoped for a lot more than what this movie had to offer. It is filmed as if students were making a movie about half way through, giving it an even more amateur feeling, which continues throughout the whole movie. This movie had bad acting, corny scenes, and nothing unique. It had tons of corny one liners that made you just want to turn it off. This movie felt a lot longer than it really was because it lagged so tremendously. I have seen zombie movies that have gone above and beyond (for example “Dead Alive aka Brain Dead” or “28 Weeks Later”). These movies gave the audience so much more then “Zombies Eating People”–they had great stories and plots behind them, good use of makeup and props, were totally unique and made you want to watch them over and over! If I had to see this movie again.. I would probally scream. So what do I expect from a zombie flick? A lot more than this crappy movie gave me.
