Reviewed by Martha Castaneda at Santa Barbara Film Festival 2017
Leaving on a jet plane
Destination NOT reached Oh what a Shame
Strangers bonding from a wake of Tragedy
September 11 was their reason for their calamity
Two strangers on the same odyssey
September 12th is day number one for their destiny
They hit the road from California to New York
Little did they know they were a couple of dorks
They got their kicks on Route 66 in a borrowed van
Unaware the trouble and bad luck they had with this van
Folk Music was the start that made them unite
Oh how their friendship would grow so tight
White Sands , New Mexico where they met a kind stranger that lends them a hand
On the road again in their good old van
The Appalachian Mountains were they camp for the night
Played folk music for the campers delight
Low on Funds and low on gas
They picked up two hitchhikers who helped with some cash
In the cornfields of Virginia gave them some peace
New York was one day away and they were at ease
Home Sweet Home both parted their separate ways
But New York was not the same in so many profound ways
