This film was shot masterfully in Teheran and it follows the ill fortunes of a married couple.
Ive never seen a film review like this one, and though I haven’t seen this movie I already feel like I have my feet half in with the clever way this film has been reviewed.
Ive never seen a film review like this one, and though I haven’t seen this movie I already feel like I have my feet half in with the clever way this film has been reviewed. Using the title of the film itself is also a clever way to give us the analogy with a reference from something a reader wouldn’t already know is about this movie.
I find that despite the short, novel way that the film review was written, it manages to convey to the reader the main points of the film. Being a highly acclaimed film, The Salesman has had great success in tugging at the heartstrings of viewers. The storyline, while tragic, felt very real to the viewer, for it perfectly balances fulfilment and contradictions in the viewer’s expectation. One would expect that both husband and wife to find a common goal in attainment of catharsis, yet as the story progresses, we see that both Emad and Rana diverge in their path towards catharsis.
