Its funny how music can set the pace in this 2017 french drama romance film. The beautiful director Lea Mysius uses suspenseful music when this black dog enters the scene on a crowded local favorite saltwater  swimming  pools. Her choice of music sets the mood as the seemingly lost dog wanders through the crowd. It gives you the feeling that something is about to happen. When the dog spots its prey and moves in to devour it you see that he was looking for a little snack and that macaroni and cheese was the bounty. This awakens our young actress.  Noee Abita nails the role as an adolescent teen with emotional struggles.  After hearing from her doctor that she will soon loose her sight, the strong minded teen and her mother enjoy the summer on the french coast together.  This incident labels the movie as a drama but i experienced a lot of comedy in the plot, like when the girl thinks that the dog has no owner. after taking the dog home and claiming the animal to be hers to keep.  She quickly finds out his was not the case when the actual owner steals the dog back.  The strong minded girl does not end it at that but chooses to steal the dog back to save it.  They eventually end up becoming good friend and were able to share the dogs company. The best is when they are all on the motorcycle together! Over all the film is a great success with the two kids triumphing terrorizing the beach town for their own fun.
