Mosh is a story of struggle following a young girl named
Mosh, living in the ghetto of the Dominican Republic with her
cousin who deals drugs and her mother suffering from cancer while
Also pursuing her dream of dancing. This is a story of struggle and what it
Is like to grow up in poverty and crime and mosh’s family are victims from the
Affect of needing money. Mosh obviously disapproves of her cousin’s activity and
Tries to take him out of it but while she does that she also screws him over. Now mosh
Has her two dearest people in danger of dying. This film not only deals with themes of
Poverty but also brings up the idea of death and what happens afterlife. An interesting
Direction was chosen in this film which was making god a woman with an
Assistant in a pineapple suit and just being there. It was confusing at first
Because they never say she is god until the end. She seems very
Eery because she’s very monotone and her narration is
Vague. It was confusing at first but it’s also very open
To interpretation. I think the directors made that choice
Because the afterlife is open to interpretation. This
Story, In my opinion, has themes of dealing with your
consequences that can lead to death and pain… Or not.
Obviously, this film deals with major issues of poverty, the struggle of the poor and corruption
Seeing this film take on these themes and the concept of the afterlife was very interesting.
However, this film has deep meaning and I would recommend people to watch it.
