1. Ann My Eklund 02.11.11 / 10pm

   I think the last picture emphasizes that Dafne is aware of that her mother is no longer with them and are willing to move on. Leo and Dafne are sitting on a bed. Dafne tells Leo that she wants to see her dad. The camera is now changing from an over the shoulder to a full shot, now located in front of Leo and Dafne. This emphasizes that they now are closer and that Dafne can accept Leo for who he really is; her father. The camera moves into a dolly when Dafne takes Leo’s make-up off, which emphasize their closeness even more.

   This is a great work by Manas. Leo faced a lot of discrimination, since he exposes himself in public, looking like Dafne’s mother or more so like a woman. This film is about tolerance and acceptance.
2. Adelayne Rosales 02.12.11 / 3pm

   This movie was one of my favorites from the film festival. I think you choose really good pictures for your review. They don’t give anything away but gives you an idea of what the movie is about. The last picture is from a really important and intense part of the movie, this scene made me cry.
