   I had not seen a film geared towards children in a very long time. I was very impressed. I absolutely loved this film. I thought that the music and characters were so charming and I thought that Jason Segel was perfect for the role. He is goofy and that gave him extra character. However, I do have one critique and that is that I did not particularly like the narration throughout the film about the film. For example, Amy Adams says towards the beginning of the film, “This is going to be a short movie!” I do not like being reminded that I am watching a film throughout the film, for I feel that it takes away from the “magic” of it.

   Nice review of The Muppets, and very creative! I love how the film, written with gusto by Jason Segal, tackled themes like nostalgia and reunion. The film’s release, I felt, mirrored the film’s theme, as it playfully noted how the Muppet property itself was outdated, forgotten, and, if the movie was a box office dud, still un-bankable.
   Released by kid magnet Disney, the film is seemingly geared towards a children’s demographic, yet manages to still strike the hearts of the 20 and older crowd that actually grew up watching the exploits of a famed insecure green frog and his band of fuzzy miscreants. I enjoyed the addition of Walter, who embodies the theme of isolation and self doubt and, much like The Muppets themselves, is simply looking for a place to fit in, on this crazy cynical world. We all feel like that sometimes, I’m sure, and it is for that reason that The Muppets will always be relevant. Putting it simply, The Muppets will live forever.
