With deepest apologies to the late, great, Jim Henson. Sing along – you know the tune!
It’s time to take our seats now It’s time to dim the lights It’s time to see what they’ve done To the Muppet show tonight! With words by Jason Segal James Bobbin’s done them right I’m not ashamed to say I Loved the Muppet show tonight! Chorus The Muppet Theater’s threatened By an evil oil tycoon They’ve got to get the old gang back To save it from this loon! You really feel the passion from Segal and the crew It made me laugh out loud And I think that you will too! There’s morals for the children And songs that they’ll love too Mixed in with jokes that are Nostalgic and some new! Chorus There’s problems at the start though With insincerity The end needs lots of work cos it’s too ‘deus ex’ for me And Piggy’s voice, it wavers No Oz behind the Star! I hope that one day he’ll be Back to shout ‘Hiii Ya!’ But these are minor quibbles Yes these are minor quibbles Just a few minor quibbles with The mostly excellent Celebrational Muppetational That is what I call a Muppet Film!About this entry
