The Shuffle (Kurt Kuenne) 2011 U.S.A

Shuffle  This is film was reviewed by Jake Horstman at the metro 4 on state street. This film stars T.J Rhymes, Paula Rhodes, and Chris Stone and it was also written as well as directred by Kurt Kuenne. This film is about a guy who is always waking up at different ages, such as one day he wiill be 8 and the next day he will be 92. But he only remembers certain events about each day. As the movie progresses he starts realizing more and more about what is happening too him.

When the film first begins it is in black and white and you see Lovell Milo (T.j. Thyne) in a black white close up of him waking up at about thriy years old. He then goes through his day goes to sleep and wakes up as a little kid. As the movie Progresses in the opening scenes they slowly start explianing why were seeing him at all these different ages clip after clip and why he is acting the way he is acting (bizzare) but it is still keeping you guessing and your attention fully on the film since your dying to know what is going on.

As the movie progresses you start learning a little bit more about Lovell Milo and you start seeing more and more scenes added to his new and previous flash backs. For example they will re-show a scene that they showed earlier, but there will be alot more added in or little pieces that you need to pay attention to, but with a marvelous film liek this that is not to hard. As the film progresses they still keep the black and white going (has been no color through out) but you start understanding why as you enter the middle of the film it helps add the myesterious mode of the movie. Then in all his clips later on in the movie he keeps hearing the same message from different people, people that he did not remember from previous shuffle moments.

Now the movie really starts climaxing, he finally starts figuring out what is going on with him and why all this is happening. The order of events start to make more and more sense, since he is now getting the full images. He then trys to prevent some of these things from happening. But something always goes against him allowing the same results to be in his next episode whe he re-awakes at a different age. When he gets to the bottom of it things get really interesting and the movie hits you with another twist.

I highly recommend people to see this great movie. Just everything about it was great, from the acting, to the black and white through out the whole movie which really gave it the feel to the movie. Any one who is sick of seeing the same old story line movie afetr movie and already knwoing the ending in the first five minutes of the film I highly recommend seeing this film, it was hands down a top 3 that I saw at the film festival if not the best. Myself and everyone else that I know who have seen this movie were very impressed and we all believe it will get a major production film and be in theatres. It is one of those films that the studio would not have to touch and re edit all they need to do is put on the big screen and make their millions.
