La Luna (Enrico Casarosa, 2011) USA
Reviewed by Rosanna Lapinski. Viewed at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Pixar’s short, La Luna, directed by Enrico Casarosa, is a lovely story about the magic of the moon and a little boy who discovers his family’s very important line of work. Inspired by Italo Calvino’s story Ladder to the Moon, this short film depicts the young boy, his father, and grandfather, all together in a small boat, as they set sail on the open sea. This is a charming, heart-warming film and a story you will remember.
