Charlene (Chester Howie, 2011): USA

Charlene: a quirky young women in her twenties; a bit nerdy, kind of cute, and also a virgin.  She has decided it’s time to take car of business.

We meet Charlene at work in a real life grocery store called Foodland.  Charlene is ready to find love–or ready to make love, that is.  Her friends are more than willing to help her in this endeavor.  Her co-workers set her up, but she can’t decide who she wants to, you know, do it with.  Being picky is a good thing, especially in Charlene’s case.  Sometimes the film can be a bit uncomfortable to watch, but only in cute, funny, and silly ways.

This short film stood out to me the most; the actors were hilarious and played their roles well.  The colors were bright and vivid, and the dialog was something to relate to.  It would be a fun film to watch as a full length.  I recommend this film to any and all folks!
