Nebraska is a black and white film directed by Alexander Payne. It tells the story of an American father Woody Grant (played by Bruce Dern) and a son David Grant (played by Will Forte) that travel to Nebraska to collect there Woody’s million dollar prize winnings from a contest that is a mail call scam that everyone in his direct family knows about. Woody will do anything to collect this money and as the journey goes on his son David finds out a lot about his father. The reason why Woody wants this movie is revealed and he explains how he wants to leave it for his sons

The story line is sad after a lot of information on the father is said but it shows his determination how in the end al he wants to do is the next right thing for his family. The movie is filmed in blck and white and the director describes how he wanted to capture an “ionic, archetypal look”. Cinematographer Phedon Papamicheal wanted to portray how the power of the black and white film could change the mood of the viewer.

The experience of watching Nebraska was unbelievable and by far my favorite film. I would recommend this film to everyone I know and it was an honer to view this film.
