The village of peace (Niko Philipedes& Ben Schuder, 2014): USA

T he Village of Peace reveals the untold story of the African Hebrew Israelites, now thriving in the Israeli desert.
H e, the director, met a man who was raised in the village of peace but decided to move away from there, to USA. The director decided to do a documentary of this ordinary village
E ven though it seems to be a good life in the village of peace, some young people decide to move away
V ery political documentary also, but focuses more on emotions
I s a documentary and we got to follow a few different persons. An old man, an old lady and a young man.
L ove, truthfulness, idea of integrity, peace. Words that describe the village of peace.
L ive life in its purest form
A man who went from America to Liberia to embrace the culture before he moved to Israel
G iven apartments in Israel “it was home”, the old man said.
E ven though medecine is important, they “use music the way doctors use medecine”, the old man says
O ld lady moved to “The village of peace” 1967, have been there ever since
F irst thing the man does in the morning is to say a pray, then it’s time to workout
P ray is important. Martin Luther King is the role model. “We should get to the promised land”, kingdom of God. Israel.
E ven if a man has 4 women, it’s ok. One woman who shares a man with four others said: “I Think it’s good, because then I know who he spends the night with.”
A t least 3 times a week, required to work-out. Key to a good life
C ook food naturally, under the sun. Without unnecessary machines, and with food they grow themselves.
E ven though many people in the village of peace are from America but moved to Israel, they don’t see America as “the land of opportunity”
