Monster’s University (Dan Scanlon, 2013): USA

Mike Wazowski is starting at Monster’s University to become the best scarer ever.
Once he gets there he is well prepared and has already practiced a lot.
New students have to take a tour around the school, everyone is very excited. Mike is very amazed by everything he sees.
Some of them get nervous but Mike knows that this is what he wants to do, it has always been his dream.
There will be some challenges along the way that they will have to face and do something about.
Even some of the students will be a challenge to deal with, some are more stubborn than others.
Risky behavior will lead to trouble, as usual. At a school like this no one wants to get in trouble, not even the big James Sullivan.
Soon they both are competing with each other about who will be the best scarer of Monster’s University.
Under the film there was a lot of music in the background, I imagine it is more fun for children to watch films that way.
Not a lot of close-ups, I thought there was very many long-shots in the film though.
In the film they used very strong and bright colors for children to be more interested.
Various of stereotypes were in the film like the jocks, nerds and the cool girls.
Even soft-focus was used a lot when they really wanted to highlight something or someone.
Randy is my least favorite character in the film because he is so sneaky.
Sometimes I laughed out loud during the film, I still enjoy watching children films even now when I am older.
I really liked this film, not as much as Monster’s Inc. though which is one of my favorite children films.
Taking away all the stereotypes would be a positive thing in the future even though everyone knows they exist.
You should absolutely waste your time to watch this film.
