Chu and Blossom (Charles Chu, 2014): USA

Reviewed by Moa Hellenaes. Viewed at Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

I saw this film called Chu and Blossom,

many people told me it was awesome.

The directors are Gavin Kelly and Charles Chu,

I bought me some popcorn that I could shew.

Chu moves to USA to study photograph,

hopefully someday he will be asked to write his autograph.

He meets a girl with the same interest,

maybe someday they will live in the same nest.

He also meets a boy who becomes his friend,

he wants their relationship to never end.

Like all people they have some problems,

but future will tell what it becomes.

Chu hopes both friendships will be saved,

and that it will forever be engraved.

They used background melodies and slow motion,

there was not always that much action.

A lot of close-ups and a lot of mid-shots,

they also shot in special spots.

Nature and flowers were in montages,

but not that many beaches.

I thought I would like it more than I did,

maybe I would have if I was a kid.

In dark environments they use the person’s shadow,

it is a cool effect I now know.
