Sombras de Azul is a spanish/latin film. The crew was so small sometimes they were only four people together witch the actors.
After commit suicide Maribel decides to leave Mexico and follow her brothers dream to travel in Cuba. One day as she is walking around in the beautiful old town a young Cuba guy Eusebio tries to steal her camera. But afterwards he feels bad for what he has done and decides to follows her to apologize. Maribel, first very reserved, and Eusebio start seeing each other.
A very touching story how a young woman handles with a loss of a close family member. The story is about family, love, death, traveling and friendship. The movie is filled with poems and beautiful montages of Cuba. You feel like you are taking a 92 minute vacation in Cuba.
Sombras de Azul is an interesting collaboration of two cousins, the director Kelly Norris and her cousin Bujaidar. Bujaidar plays the role of Maribel. Her natural acting is very impressing especially if you know that this film was her first acting performance.
