The Signal (William Eubank, 2014): USA
Reviwed by Beata Bergman. Viewed on Antioch University/Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
The Signal is a Si-fi/Thriller film. You get to follow Nic (Brenton Thwaites), Jonah (Beau Knapp), Haley (Olivia Cooke) and Nomad/Dr.Damon (Laurence Fishburne) in this really cliffhanging film where Nic and his friends goes on a road trip to find out things they never thought existed.
The movie is about 3 teenagers that goes on a roadtrip to find a guy that has been harassing them with weird messages and hacking in to their stuff. Nic who is the lead star in this movie is together with a girl that follow the two best friends to stop this guy (nomad) who is hacking in to their computers. They find a location on where Nomad are suppose to be. When they arrive Haley stays in the car while Jonah and Nic goes out and in to this little house. Suddenly Haley starts to scream, they go out from the house to search for her and sees beyond anything real and normal. It all turns black and Nic is waking up at some kind of facility and everything changes from there..
