The Counterfieters (Stefan Ruzowititzky,2007):AUSTRIA/GERMANY

A very interesting film . As I sat in the audience I realize I was somewhat younger than the full house. The movie was not on the tender loving side. A handfull of Jewish men in the concentration camps are forced to work in an large counterfiete operation. In retrun for there work the were giving soft beds and the occassional cigarette. Basically just better treatment. While all their comrades all around were being abused and killed. The tension between helping the Germans win the war and saving their own ass was the major theme. In the end both the strong side the weak side was shown. I gave it a four out of five.
