   Nodoka Kobayashi’s review on La La Land is on that thinks outside of the box. It isn’t a review that is lengthy at all. Everything is summed up and explained in under 100 words. It is amazing to me how simple and yet how much information it lets us the reader know. This review does not give away to much about the plot instead, it gives the reader enough to make their own inferences. I feel many people can relate to the plot that La La Land is about and that might be the reason why it was such a critical success this year.

   After reading Nodoka Kobayashi’s review on the film La La Land it was almost as if I was inspired myself. It was very abstract and didn’t go into much detail about the film itself but it captures the message of the movie and allows for some reading the review to make their own inferences. It seems like a very carefully analyzed and written piece that goes beyond just writing about the plot or narrative structure but it intensifies the meaning go the film as an entirety.

   This reviews was astonishing. I wasn’t to thrilled about the movie half way through it. But as I tried to comprehend the bold meaning behind all this singing and dancing I learned that there was a little sense of struggle and pain disguised as a happy song.

   This review is like nothing I have ever seen before. I absolutely adore the film La La Land. Never before have a seen such a short review. I am astonished of how amazing it is regardless. This review cuts out all the fluff and gets straight to the point. All they ever wanted to say was I love you…

   Nodoka Kobayashi definitely wrote quite possibly the shortest and most interesting film review I’ve ever seen, and I loved it. Short and simple, but yet there are so many layers to every line and so much information in such a small amount of words. The review is a lot like the movie itself, artistic and full of meaning, but not for everyone.

   This review is very different than any other film review I have read on this site…and I absolutely love the style! The review itself, is very short but digs straight to the point and underlying meaning of the movie, La la land. Since I first watched this film (i have seen it several times after) I fell in love with the music, bright colors and dream-like sequences. As clearly and promptly stated in the original review, this movie depicts the use and application of a dream and if/how people achieve their dream. It takes place in Los Angeles, a place run on dreams, and uses beautiful visuals and music to elevate the story. The review also briefly touches on the love story that is embedded in this film.

   This creative review is like a trailer written in words. It gives the reader a small preview of what the movie is about, but mostly incites what the narrative makes the viewer feel. The actual plot is not revealed in this poetic statement which can be crucial on determining whether or not the reader will watch the film. Each line describes either a feeling or a general topic that is in the story, containing warm words like “passion” or “sunset”. The contents of the lines correspond with the actual term “La La Land” where everything is “colorful and thrilling”. The short and sweet review reflected directly on the title and the film.
