“Bokeh” is a story about a young couple (Maika Monroe and Matt O’Leary) that went to Iceland for a holiday.   In Iceland they went on fantastic excursions in The Blue lagoon, The Golden Triangle the glaciers. Their Icelandic holiday was everything they imagine. They were having a wonderful time. On the third day they awoke and found that everyone was GONE! They were unable to reach their family or friends in the United States. All the citizens of Reykjavik disappeared. It seemed like a bizarre dream. The citizens left all their valuable belongings, their cars, their clothing and their homes. The shops, food market, gas stations and restaurants still had everything. It was as if they left and expected to return the next day. Resulting from the disappearance of every living person, all modes of transportation were at a complete stop. The couple were stranded on this island, not knowing what was going on. The couple took advantage of the situation and gathered up the necessities. They were able to get food, water and a car. They traveled all around the city and country side in search for any other living person. NO ONE was in sight in the situation grew desperate. They were alone on this beautiful island with no where to go and no prospects in sight. The stress of the situation made the pressure between the young couple grow until it became to much. The young female could not cope with the situation and eventually took herb own life. Afterwards the young man tried as well but couldn’t follow through. “Bokeh” certainly did not have a typical hollywood, story book ending. Although the film had a sad, depressing ending it was still a very worthy movie. The acting was great and the footage of Iceland excellent. I’d certainly recommend “Bokeh” to anyone.
