The Ballad of Lefty Brown (Jared Moshe, 2017): USA

Reviewed by Juan Salcedo. Viewed at the 2017 AFI Film Festival.

The unlikely hero is likely Lefty Brown(Bill Pullman) in this beautiful western. Moshe explained that he wanted to take the sidekick that gets kicked around by the group and that happened to be Lefty Brown.

This film is a revenge story that follows Lefty on a mission to find who killed his best friend Edward the senator(Peter Fonda).  In the process Lefty Brown tests himself and shows everyone that he cares and stuff and in that he finds that he is capable of things he never imagined like finding a thief and stuff. Anywhom cinematography is prime showing us beautiful Montana landscapes kinda and being beautiful. Characters are cool although pretty basic they have clear goals which makes the movie better and easy to follow. Obviously.

The Ballad is quite the enjoyable film, if you like Westerns and you like it when genres are twisted a little bit to change the norm this film would be a great watch. Go watch it fluffy bunnies.
