The Endless (Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, 2017): English

The two young directors of this film are just starting out and it’s very interesting to see what they come up with. Starting out with a film called Resolution back in 2012, struck enthusiasm in these men to start producing killer indie films. I think they ran with their ideas on this one, and it paid off. The movie was very entertaining and kept you on your toes for what this mastermind of a monster had coming next. The film starts out where two brothers are seeking some answers and closure. They had a feeling of some “creature”, that may be out amongst their friends. So they go to check it out, to prove their theories correct.

They intended on staying for a couple days, but Aaron insists on staying longer to see if he wants to stay for good at the camp. Justin just wants the heck out of this place, preferably leaving with his brother in one piece. Justin just wanted to find answers and get out as soon as humanly possible.

When the brothers arrive it seems erie and something just isn’t right. Then, signs start to appear. Encounters with this creature seal the question of if there was something up there, secondly with missing people reports that just sound too offset.

The camera crew has done a great job in covering this film, shots from every sort of angle give this 360 degree perspective which puts you directly in the shoes of the targeted. Aerial views of the camp, underwater clips of Justin trying to retrieve information on a tape from the creature, are really fascinating ways of capturing the scenes.

Overall, this was a very fun film to watch, despite from being in the front row – right side. Taking on a roll of filming. producing and acting is a hard thing to manage. These two guys did an amazing job that the audience seemed to love. Hopefully it comes to theaters so I can show my friends this thriller of a movie.
