This was a really terrific setup you guys did! I thought it could be a little better rehearsed, but it is exciting to see where you are taking this site. However, I cannot agree with you guys on Milk. I think in a few years people will start seeing it as a mediocre film. I have to say what a great job you guys did though! Maybe next time you could shoot it in the BC forum to give it kind of a theater setting.
Have to echo Byron’s comment on a job well done. Yes, a little more practice might polish up the edges, but thanks for putting in the effort to do something like this. I’m going to take the middle ground on Milk though, which I’ve finally seen. I think it was definitely above mediocre, but I don’t think it was the best film of last year. Franco gave the best performance I’ve seen from him in a long time.
It is interesting how it is set-up as an interview situation, but it slightly awkward because there is no eye contact with the camera. Does seem in need of a little bit more practice before shot. I really liked how they showed scenes from the films they were reviewing, would have been cool if they gave an example, then played the shot with sound. Would have been nice if they were really dressed up in a nice setting to make it seem like an actual formal review that would be on mainstream television. It was easy to tell that the boys know what they are talking about and gives the regular viewer a different perspective.
I liked the fact that you guys chose to do a video review instead of a written review. I feel video reviews are much easier to understand and the clips you guys added was a nice plus. I wanted to make a comment on your review of the Watchmen. I thought the movie did a very good job with the transition from the graphic novel. Anybody who makes a movie from a book has to cut out a good portion to make sure the movie isn’t too long. You liked V for Vendetta but they cut out a lot from the comic. If you read the book and then watch the movie I think that you’ll notice that Zach Snyder did the watchmen justice. The characters were spot on especially Rorschach.
