The Square (Ruben Östlund, 2017) France
The Square contains a utopian society- as the movie progresses it calls a lot into question.
How much inhumanity does it take before we can access true humanity?
Endless.
So what is art really?
Question everything, but don’t overthink
Unrealistic norms, hypocrisy, and narcissism are deeply embedded into contemporary society
Art is expression- what does that say about modern humanity being overly conceptual?
Represent who you are not a facade.
Existence is full of a multitude of beautiful possibilities masquerading as miseries
