This review contains spoilers from “Avengers: Infinity war”, however it DOES NOT have any “Avengers: Endgame” spoilers.

It all started with “Iron Man” back in 2008 and since then Disney and Marvel made an universe of super heroes in a way that I never would be able to watch on the big screen. After 21 movies, Avengers: Endgame is the final film for a universe that made so much successful through 10 to 11 years. After all this time building this universe, does “Avengers: Endgame” live up to its hype?

“Avengers: Endgame” picks just after the end of the “Avengers: Infinity war”, where Thanos (Josh Brolin) does the snap, and half of the living creatures of the universe are gone. With that said, our heroes lead by Captain America (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark, Iron man (Robert Downey Jr) have to find a way to undo the snap and not only bring the heroes who are gone back, but to save the other half of the living creatures.

If “Avengers: Infinity war” was about Thanos, Endgame is about our heroes. The first movie maintains it focus on the bad guy, which by the way is a great motion capture by Josh Brolin. The Avengers now face their biggest loss, and the movie works on it, we haven’t seem our heroes losing like that, which makes Thanos, one of the best if not the best villains ever made by Marvel. “Some people move on, but not us”, this is what Steve Rogers, Captain America says at a point in the movie. The feeling of loss and how the writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely handle so well in written characters that change because of it. If the first movie was more about action, this one is about loss and character development. You might be asking, after 11 years making movies of these characters, is there anything else that you can reveal abut them? Yes, there are a lot to learn with all the characters, which make the movie even more impressive. How the writers change the characters and give personal moments with them, that give us more knowledge for each one of them, even for the ones who have smaller roles.

For the first time in Marvel history, a director, or in this case, directors directed more than 3 movies. The Russo brothers did Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War and now Endgame. And they are good, they are very good. TheY know how to direct amazing action scenes, and even in between give us character development and create such a good dynamic in the group that is awesome to see the heroes using their powers together, in amazing action scenes. They made this movie for fans, fans who have been following this universe since Iron man, there are a lot of Easter eggs and fan service, but not free fan service, like the ones that does not bring anything to the story. In this case, it does.

“Avengers: Endgame” is an amazing movie, I never thought they would pulled this off, but they did.bFor someone, who has been following the MCU, it was the perfect way to close this saga of 22 movies. The movie gave me one of the best experiences at the movie theater that I have ever had. I cheered, I laughed, I cried. If you have been following this movies for so long, make sure to watch it.
