Rampart is a action, crime drama were Dave Brown (Woody Harrelson) serving as a veteran police officer in the LAPD. Rampart is based on the true story about the Rampart scandal where 70 police officers were implicated in misconduct. And at least three Rampart Police were found to be on the pay-roll of hip hop mogul Marion “Suge” Knight and those three were also involved in the drive by murder of the recording artist Notorious B.I.G. Dave Brown get’s caught on tape when using over violence on a man who runs into officer Brown’s vehicle during a normal patrol. The Rampart division tries everything to let officer Brown go but Brown refuses to let go and if he is trying to prove himself or not it’s hard to tell. Rampart is defiantly a dirty cop movie where you really get the feeling of how corrupt even our own world can be and it’s not always that far away.
