   I have always loved musicals, so I remember being so excited when Chicago first came out in theaters. I think that turning musicals into movies is a good way to have the general public view a musical, and even though they might not think they like musicals or show tunes, they can enjoy the movie. I agree with you that the cinematography was remarkable, and I loved the costumes, hair, and make-up in the film. Even though I have seen the film so many times, I have never thought of it as being split into two worlds, but I think you’re absolutely right in this analysis. The film goes from grungy jail cells to fantasy stages and sets.
   I also enjoyed getting to hear a bit of The SBCC Glee Club! I was a member of my school’s a cappella group, so I loved listening to their rendition of “Rumor Has It.” Thank you for sharing!

   It’s been a little while since I’ve last watched “Chicago”, but what I remember the most is the energy, the colors, and the passion that the film contains. It’s an interesting way to tell a story, with things being said through song and dance, rather than just words. It makes it more powerful when they use this technique, as well as dramatic colors and lighting in the mise-en-scene. It’s no huge surprise that the fun songs and dazzling images from this film stuck with people enough to for us to be seeing it again in a popular culture now. The SBCC Glee club did a great job singing “Rumor Has It” in that video, and it reminds me of how I actually just recently watched an episode of the TV series, Glee where they perform another song and dance from the movie, Chicago. They did a great job as well, but Glee was lacking the dramatic colors and lighting as well as unique camera angles, so it wasn’t nearly as powerful as the original, in the film Chicago.

   I recently watched Chicago and though it was a fantastic film. I loved musicals especially when theres a good storyline.I had seen a couple videos on youtube of clip of dancing and singing from Chicago before I had seen the full film.I think having movies with song and dance is a good way to draw in the public and make them more interested. I thought the review was great and I agree that art in the movie was amazing. I also loved the costumes, makeup, and props. My favorite song from the film was cell block tango, I thought it was a great way to show all the characters stories.

   Chicago was overall, an enjoyable film. I’ve always been into musicals, yet I’ve never had the opportunity to watch the film entirely. It was interesting to watch this film after frequently hearing about its music. The music allowed me to understand the film more and it made it more interesting. In the review, I like how William mentioned the two worlds featuring Roxie’s reality and her stage show. It allows the audience to clearly see her thoughts.
