   I agree that Frozen is overrated. Although I love that it is a sister bond that breaks the curse rather than a night in shining armor, I found myself bored in moments throughout the film. For example, when Anna and Kristoff are in search of Elsa, every time the film cuts back to the Kingdom, I am not as attentive to the content. However, compared to the films I have watched in FS 101, I enjoy watching Frozen more, probably because the form of the film is more modern, and more easily understandable, as well as I grew up watching films more closely similar to Frozen content, form, and animation.

   As a true child at heart, I have to disagree with the writer of the review that frozen is overrated. Obviously, no film is going to compare to the ones that we experienced as a child because we have sentimental feelings towards it. Frozen is one of the only modern princess movies that I have watched as an adult multiple times. I agree with the writer that it is special in the sense of women’s empowerment and straying away from the classic Disney film. The time period in which this movie was made is so different from when the older classics were so all the “hype” around it is always going to be much greater. All princess films have the same narrative as we learned in film class, they star a young girl that faces a problem, and then by the end of the film it is solved. I like how this film ends with the sister’s love and the plot twist of the man you think she loves being evil. Overall an awesome movie that will become a classic as time goes on.

   Great review! I especially enjoyed how you unironically wrote that this is a magical tale. Not only is there actual magic in the movie but it also seems to cast a spell on everyone that watches it making them love the film. I also agree with you that this film holds a special place in my heart because this is the first Disney film that the prince doesn’t save the princess. This film is all about girl power and sisters which is amazing. I also enjoyed how you added in a little bit of background on what the creation of the film was inspired by. I think that they did a great job incorporating the music to help tell the story and set the scenes.

   Frozen is a great movie, for children and adults. I believe the animation in this film was great compared to some of the original Disney films from the 90’s that I watched when I was kid like The Fox and the Hound and Beauty and the Beast. I will have to disagree with this review in the way that I believe this film had great messages in it. I believe it taught kids that they should be there for each other, friendship and love. I do agree with this film review in the way that it is one of the only Disney films that the princess didn’t get saved by a prince. One of the most catchy things about this movie is the songs like Do you want to Build a Snowman and Let it go.

   Great Review! I was definitely obsessed with Let it Go when this film came out. I do agree with your comments about the plot sometimes being not as intriguing as it could be. However, I can not say enough good things about this film. The relationship between Ana and Elsa is not one that is commonly focused on within Disney films. I admire this film because it demonstrated two kinds of reliance within both Ana and Elsa.

   I do have to say Disney does not disappoint when they produce a new animated film. The details in this movie are out of this world, you can see reflections in the characters’ eyes and the most delicate piece of hair on their head. The way it all comes together is truly incredible. Even the storyline is different relative to other Disney princess films. For example, Ana and Else aren’t devoted to finding a prince charming but instead fighting to be a family after personal hardships. This gives the film more character and should be more appreciated than it is. I enjoyed every aspect of this film and this is coming from someone who is not too fond of the ideology of princess films.

   Awesome review! For those who haven’t seen this fantastic heartfelt movie, you did a great job summarizing it without giving anything away. However, I can’t entirely agree with it being “overrated.” I have seen Frozen many times, especially since the girl I used to nanny asked to watch it constantly. Unlike other Disney movies, I never got sick of Frozen, and I will admit I still play “Let It Go” in the car with friends when we want the “throwback kid song” vibe. Disney knows how to get viewers hooked and talk about their movies for months. I loved the storyline and agreed with you that it’s not a typical prince-saves princess plot.

   I really enjoyed reading this review. I have to disagree with the writer’s opinion that the film is overrated, as I have always been a big fan of Disney, especially the princess films. I definitely agree that this movie has “astonishing graphic”. Even with the completely made up areas like Elsa’s ice castle. I find it very impressive that they made it look so beautiful and whimsical. This falls under the category of elements of design, as well as mise-en-scene, and I think that the filmmakers did very well in both aspects. In addition, I think that it was a good thing to point out that this film was Disney’s first time having a princess being saved by the love of her sister, and not a prince. I think that this was a big step for Disney, because it tells young girls that they don’t necessarily need a man to save them, sometimes all it takes is the love and support from family and friends.

   This movie is such a great film for all ages! I know a lot of people who hate on this movie BECAUSE it’s so overrated but you cant deny how unbelievably catchy the songs in the film are. The animation used in the film is phenomenal. You are able to see all the little details that the animators took to create an absolute masterpiece to look at, down to the individual strands of hair! Not only is the animation great, but the soundtrack does not disappoint! The film’s infamous song, ‘Let It Go’ is as popular as it is for a reason. It’s extremely catchy and Idina Menzel does not disappoint in hitting those high notes! A wonderful film from beginning to end and a must watch Disney film!

    My first time seeing the film Frozen was when it was released. At the time (back in 2013) I was ten years old. Being so young I loved this film, I actually had it downloaded on my ipod and me and my friends would watch it on the back of the bus coming home from school. I agree that it did not follow the typical script most other Disney princess movies follow, and that’s what made it so good! It was so unique! Another way frozen stood out to me more than other Disney movies was it’s catchy music. I actually downloaded the music on the Itunes store after watching the movie. Overall this film is a must watch!
