Ich seh, Ich seh (Severin Fiala, Veronika Franz, 2014): Austria

This is the only thrill movie I have seen in AFI festival. A story about two little boys stay with their mother in a country side house. Started with an old famous German song, our journey began.

As watched this film, I have one feeling and one feeling only, cold. The movie was based on a dark and blueish color. I don’t feel warm even in a sunny scene. However, as I watched this film, another feeling comes up. “I can change the background music to make this movie into another Home Alone movie”. It is more than obvious to say that the story line if you don’t read any subtitles just see the acting, it is like a Home Alone movie. “Bad guys come, we have to fight back by using all the materials that a family can find”. However, if you think this is that kind of movie then you are totally wrong. It is much darker and horror than a beloved Christmas classic movie for a whole family.

I don’t wanna spoil anything, I can only say it is a movie like “Fight Club” which only at the end, all the clues that directors left become clear. Only in the last few minutes, you will feel your world was turned upside down. The great acting skills that the two little twins present amazed me. It is a thrill movie that you won’t feel scared because someone screamed. It will appear at very last of the movie. The movie itself, try to make audience scream based on their nature weakness. For instance, bugs in the body, bugs in mouth, cut on the mouth, drop a few strong glue on your eyes. It is a great movie for the audience who love to enjoy pain and also do not recommend eat too much food before you watch it. Not because it is a bad movie, but something from the movie makes me feel a little bit sick.

In sum, great movie, great graphic, really great story, it is a movie that for the young couple for some relaxing time. Well, personally I don’t like all the pain scene. It makes me feel pain as well. I don’t like it at all.
